4xfour in the Americas

The 4xfour team is again on the move and is now onto the next leg of its journey, we’ve arrived in the Americas.

Cheryl’s first port of call is the Big Easy. Oh yes, New Orleans will be our home for the week. And while there Cheryl will take part in the city’s biggest celebration of the year, the New Orleans Mardi Gras. And we do mean take part, she will be aboard one of the parading grand floats and will be all dressed up in her carnival costume, as New Orleans goes Mardi Gras crazy.

Next, are all action girl will be taking to the South Louisiana Bayous and Swamps, to get up close and personal with the state’s biggest predator, alligators. This whole new world awaits Cheryl and it’s just 30 minutes from the famous French Quarter of New Orleans.

Cheryl even had a bit of Hollywood excitement as she made friends with CSI:NY star Gary Sinise.

After all the New Orleans Mardi Gras and alligator excitement,it will be time to slow down with a leisurely cruise along the mighty Mississippi on board the Steamboat Nantchez. We are grateful to Viator for arranging the two exciting boat trips.

After the hectic pace of New Orleans a more sedate approach to life will be found in the Carribbean . Cheryl will be travelling around the Exuma Islands of the Bahamas and staying at the Atlantis hotel. However, she can’t wait to try another first for her, swimming with pigs. Strange but true, so watch out for some very unusual photos.

Leaving the Bahamas, she will head on to Sandals resort in Ochos Rios, Jamaica. The laid back lifestyle will no doubt be sampled, as we’re sure will also be the Jamaican specialties of local rum and jerk chicken. And any a trip to to Jamaica would not be complete without a bit of Reggae, while paying homage at the Bob Marley Museum.
