Travel always gives us the chance to discover something new – whether it’s a little-known region of the world, its peoples, sights or foods.
Meanwhile shared-ownership holiday exchange, with companies like RCI, is taking people out to many unusual destinations they may never have thought of visiting. It’s part of the beauty of exchange holidays – enjoying relaxing times and exciting adventures while staying in quality accommodation around the world.
With increasing numbers of RCI’s members using RCI.com to find their holidays, its enhanced search filters are opening up a world of adventure, faster and more simply than ever. Indeed, such is the ease of its holiday search programme, many RCI members are finding a wealth of new destinations they would not normally have considered.
One RCI member Rosemary Hutcheson from Scotland, is hailing the new search filters, for not only making booking simpler, but also opening up a world of holiday opportunities.
Holiday exchange presents world of opportunity
Golf fan Rosemary said she and her husband Gordon have discovered some fabulous new locations in which to tee off. The couple are owners at Hilton Craigendarroch, an RCI-affiliated resort in Scotland, and like to plan their holidays around their sporting passion.
They were delighted to discover they could enjoy a golfing break at an array of destinations, after using the search filter for golfing holidays in RCI.com’s directory of resorts. RCI’s online holiday searches have taken the couple to Florida, South Africa, Cyprus, Sri Lanka, Arizona, Scotland, Tenerife and they will head to Portugal next year.
Rosemary said one of their RCI travel highlights was a trip to South Africa. The couple took a holiday exchange into Kruger Park Lodge, and the Sabi River Sun Resort, on the edge of Kruger Park.
Not only did they indulge their love of golf on the Gary Player-designed course at Kruger Park Lodge, but were able to take in all the sights and enjoy a fabulous holiday away from the greens and tees!
Rosemary said: “We went off the beaten track, dined at small restaurants attached to family farms where the food was grown, and we also trekked to remote, pretty waterfalls amid wonderful landscapes.
“Perhaps most spectacular of all, we went on safari a few times. Seeing all the wild animals in their natural habitat was a wonderful experience. We want to go back to South Africa when we can, and perhaps try the Garden Route and Cape Town next time.”
Finding a holiday with an RCI search
The new search filters on RCI.com helps its members to find the holiday that suits them best. The ease with which destinations can now be found is encouraging members to try new and exciting places – making it a gateway to destination discovery.
As Rosemary and Gordon have found to their delight, making good use of the search filters brings its reward.
Rosemary added: “The RCI search filter function is self-explanatory and really simple to use. We enter our priorities, such as Golf, RCI Gold Crown and the start date, and off we go.
“To narrow down the search we can enter additional options. The system even keeps our preferred information available in ‘My Favourites’, for the next time we search to save time re-entering all our personal preferences.”
Whatever type of holiday you prefer the RCI.com search filters, are on your side as a great planning tool to help you find your next great getaway.
