There are few experiences that epitomise luxury travel more than flying by private plane charter.
If you’re chartering a private plane for the first time, you may be quite undecided, and slightly intimidated, by the many variable options, whether it’s the type of aircraft you need, or deciding on the airport to charter from and to.
One of the main benefits of chartering a private plane is that almost always the customer service you receive is second to none.
Private plane charters can also provide you with a point-to-point service – there are many airports around the world serviced by private planes so you may find one much closer to your departure location or destination than the well-known international airports.
We recently came across Air Charter Service and their article on how to charter a private plane. Their process starts with a simple enquiry either through an online booking form or by telephone and they then provide you with your own dedicated account manager to handle all your journey plans.
Here we explore the process of arranging a private plane charter with them, to ease any uncertainties and show how you can charter a private plane with ease.
What information is required when making a private plane charter enquiry?
- The destinations that you wish to travel to and from.
- The people that will form your travel party (who’s travelling with you).
- Details regarding equipment or additional baggage that you might carry with you. All this will help decide the size of the aircraft that you might need.
This would be the first part of the process, thereafter your very own dedicated account manager will be assigned to you. Available 24/7, they would ensure that you have all the assistance you need and will be able to advise on your requests.
As soon as they have all the specifics, your account manager then checks the database of aircraft available to find the most suitable options. A minimum of three options would then be shared with you and discussed at length to ensure that you’re happy with your final choice.
Usually the three options will include:
- The aircraft available at the best rate.
- A second option that offers even more comfort.
- The third option shared would be the premium luxury option.
Once you’ve made your final decision, your account manager will check the availability of the aircraft chosen and send a booking request. You’ll then receive a booking form with all your flight information to initial and sign, and your account manager will finalise everything. When everything has been processed, you’ll receive a charter itinerary with all the confirmed flight information.
At this point you’ll be asked to share your passport details and your account manager will then clear this with customs. Your dietary requirements and any other special requests would also be noted at this time.
Leading up to your flight, you’re still able to contact your account manager if you need to, and they can assist until the day you travel. They’re also able to book transfers to and from the airport if you wish.
Once you arrive at your terminal all that’s left to do is await your transfer through security to the aircraft or alternatively if you arrive earlier, you can wait in the terminal until the time arises for you to leave. All that would be left for you to do is sit back and enjoy your luxury flight.
After the flight, a report will be sent to you with feedback from the crew and at this point you get to rate the service and feedback on your experience and make any suggestions for improvement, should there be any.
If only you could get a dedicated account manager to assist with all your travel requirements. Wouldn’t that be nice?
