Win a week at Karma St. Martin’s resort, plus £1,000 spending money for serenity in the Isles of Scilly

Want to get away from it all and experience a little known destination, yet still enjoy a holiday in the UK? We’ve got the competition for you – a chance to win a week’s stay on the Isles of Scilly, plus £1,000 spending money.

Located off the south-west coast of England and just a short flight or ferry ride from Penzance in Cornwall, the Scilly Isles are a haven of peace and tranquillity. While they may be made up of 200 small islands, they are big on wonderful attractions.

It is with very good reason that they have been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The archipelago combines rugged granite cliffs and headlands with sandy bays, hidden coves, shifting dunes and saline lagoons.

Combine this with one of the mildest climates in the UK, and the Isles of Scilly are a rare delight.

And this exclusive competition could see you and your loved ones enjoying a luxury stay on the island of St Martin’s. Read on to discover more about this special destination and this incredible prize.

Secret shores

One of the Scilly’s greatest secrets is St Martin’s. Though just two miles long, the island is renowned for its exceptional white-sand beaches.

From Par Beach to Great Bay – which was voted the best in the UK for swimming – to Little Bay, and the delightfully named Bread and Cheese Cove, the island delivers plenty of toes-in-the-sand choices for even the most ardent beach lover.

You can be as active or as relaxed as you wish here. Enjoy cycle rides, leisurely walks, swimming or kayaking around the coast, or explore life beneath the waves with a diving or snorkelling session. And look out for the island’s cutest residents, the playful seals that revel in greeting human visitors to their ocean home.

Culinary discoveries

The exceptional microclimate of the Isles of Scilly makes the island an ideal place to farm grapes. St. Martin’s Vineyard was established in 1996 and today it produces five varieties of wine. Tour the vineyard and sample its vintages on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

For lunch or an afternoon cream tea visit the Polreath Tea Room, a five-minute saunter from the white sands of Par Beach and Higher Town Quay.

A magnet for artists, adventurers and escapees from city life, the islands feature quintessential English countryside and unspoilt coastline, perfect for a romantic escape.

  1. I already have this time booked off work, I just need something to do with the time. Thanks 🙂

  2. was only dreaming of going to the scilly isles last week and told hubby it should be on the bucket list! oh please make my dream come true

  3. I visited St Martins in 1999 to see the total eclipse of the sun. It was an amazing experience made all the better by being on such a beatiful island. As a photographer, I’d relish the chance to record the beauty of this unique island and its famous luxury hotel.

  4. Super prize. A place that neither I nor my husband have had the opportunity to visit.
Perhaps we shall be lucky ~ who knows.
