Ski company VIP SKI is preparing for the winter season, adding a historic hotel in the world renown resort of St Anton.
The Hotel Montjola in the Austrian alpine town dates back to 1932 and is full of Tyrolean charm, but it will receive a complete interior overhaul during the summer.
The hotel has magnificent views over St Anton’s mountains and pistes, and is just five minutes from the main Galzig ski lift.
Hotel Montjola is in a secluded position, yet close enough to the buzz of St Anton’s village life.
St Anton is regarded as one of the best ski resorts in the world and enjoys immaculate pistes, picturesque villages dotted amid the spectacular scenery, reliable snow, legendary après-ski and first-class cuisine.
Adventurous intermediates and expert skiers will love the long runs from Valluga and enjoy some of the highest altitude skiing in the Alps including in the exclusive resorts of Lech, Zürs, St. Christoph and Stuben.
Features at VIP SKI’s latest hotel
The Hotel Montjola sleeps 80 guests in a mix of double, twin, triple and Austrian twin bedrooms and enjoys design-led interiors. It has a sauna, steam room, massage suite and outdoor hot tub. There’s also two nannies available to make a family holiday all the more enjoyable.
VIP SKI’s classic touches – welcome drinks and canapés, cooked breakfast, afternoon tea, evening meal with wine and a bar serving drinks and coffee are also offered at the hotel.
VIP SKI’s managing director Andy Sturt said: “We have been toying with finding an appropriate property in Austria for three years, with St Anton high on the list. We decided to select the historic Hotel Montjola because we are able to refurbish the property to the VIP SKI standard and its magnificent situation.
“This will complement the rest of VIP SKI’s ultimate dream collection. Our discerning clients desired an Austrian bolthole and we are keen to show them our new hand-picked property and offer the very best service available.”
VIP SKI (0844 557 3119; www.vip-chalets.com) offers seven nights at Hotel Montjola from £849 per person, based on two sharing, including return flights from Gatwick, transfers and catered accommodation, including house wine with dinner, and ski and snowboard hosting. Guests can also book valet parking, private transfers and private nannies.
