A royal engagement – win a holiday to Melbourne – business class flights with Royal Brunei

The royal family may have it all, but what do they know about travel? Prince William, Kate and little Prince George recently enjoyed a Royal Tour Down Under, but they missed out on Melbourne – one of Australia’s most stylish and exciting cities.

But where royal couples fail to tread, we’re giving you the chance to travel – and in fine style.

Win a holiday to Melbourne – exclusively on LiveShareTravel

We’re thrilled to announce this fantastic competition. We’ve teamed up with Royal Brunei Airlines to give you the chance to win a holiday to Melbourne. It’s your own royal tour, with return business class flights and a luxury hotel stay for two. Enter Now.

A hot air balloon flight over Melbourne

The royal treatment begins with business class flights on Royal Brunei’s new Boeing 787 Dreamliner service from London. The winner will experience the best of Crown staying across all three hotels, including Crown Towers, named 2013’s Best Large Luxury Hotel, the stylish Crown Metropol and state-of-the-art Crown Promenade.

The Crown Casino and Entertainment Complex  is also popular with foodies. It is home to 40 restaurants, including famed Japanese chain, Nobu. In Februrary 2015 it will take delivery of Heston Blumenthal’s Fat Duck when it closes in Bray, Berkshire, to head south for six months.

The prize also includes Melbourne city sightseeing tours, a trip to see Phillip Island’s Penguin Parade, and airport transfers. Enter Now.

Win a holiday to Melbourne aboard Royal Brunei's Boeing 787 Dreamliner

Not only does the competition celebrate Prince William, Kate and George’s recent royal trip to Australia, but the launch of Royal Brunei’s daily Dreamliner flights from London Heathrow to Melbourne.

Late last year, I had the pleasure of flying business class on Royal Brunei’s Dreamliner for its inaugural flight from Brunei to London. Here’s some facts about the airline:

  • Royal Brunei is the first and only airline operating a Dreamliner in South East Asia
  • The only airline to guarantee long-haul passengers a 100% Dreamliner service, all the way from Heathrow to Melbourne, via Dubai and Brunei.
  • It provides what it terms a ‘Betterfly’, aboard a modern fleet of aircraft. These offer peaceful and tranquil travel, and personal customer service characterised by authentic Bruneian grace.
  • It operates flights to four continents and 15 cities.
  • Royal Brunei recently launched new heritage-inspired uniforms for its cabin crew.

Win a holiday to Melbourne

This fantastic prize includes:

  • Two business class return flights from London Heathrow to Melbourne with Royal Brunei.
  • Six nights at the exclusive Crown Melbourne, staying two nights at the luxurious Crown Towers, two nights at the stylish Crown Metropol and two nights at state-of-the-art Crown Promenade.
  • Sightseeing tour of Melbourne courtesy of AAT Kings tour experts.

Even more amazing would be to be able to go for my seventieth birthday next February!! Fingers crossed we are lucky!!!!

    • The 787 is a great plane – I flew on it last year, and Royal Brunei’s business class is fantastic. While Melbourne made a huge impression on me – great city. Keeping them crossed for you Christine!

  21. My wife and I have spoke long and hard about moving to Australia and Melbourne has always been our no 1 destination for us and our 3 young boys. This is the perfect opportunity for us to experience Melbourne and what it has to offer without us selling up in Harrogate N Yorkshire and coming over without a real idea of the what’s and wherefore’s.

  27. Never been to Australia…here’s my chance… every time I save for a holiday to get there it seemed to take sooooo long we ended up going somewhere else closer, quicker and fitted out budget…I know somewhere in Oz land there is a kangaroo calling out my name!!!!!!!!!

  28. My sister and I were in Melbourne about 4 years ago (before we started our travel blog) and it’d be a hoot to go back and have more time and get more material to write about. When we were there they were having a huge comedy festival outdoors and a man dressed in short shorts and wearing a woman’s wig flung around and, dare we say, “humped” a red wheelbarrow to the music from Carmen! We were mesmerized and realized that Melbourne sure has its own wacky vibe. We got a huge kick out of it but didn’t allocate enough time to properly see the city. Thanks for offering this great prize!

    • Wow – that’s a hell of an experience – not sure we’ll be able to better that. Then again… biz class flights, luxe hotel… hmm… ok, we can! So strange though – but yes, Melbourne has got it’s own unique vibe. Good luck Kay!

    • Ooh I’ve just seen your sign up come in – you’re all done. Yeah, you don’t need to enter your email address again as the form collects it when you answer the question.

  30. Great giveaway – Australia is on my wish list to visit one day (hopefully) and what a way to visit if I won…fingers crossed 🙂

  31. I’d have love to travelled when I was younger, or took a year out to travel, but never got the chance now older and a bit wiser, I’ve got the travel bug seen a tiny bit of the world, but Australia would be a dream!

    • Sometimes we have to do things in life when the time is right I guess, don’t we Karen? Glad to hear you’re now getting to see something of the world. Here’s hoping that luck is also on your side for this one!
