As you peer out from your luxury accommodation at Pearly Grey Ocean Club, with sunlight dancing on the endless ocean before you and the warmth of yet another glorious day embracing you, it’s difficult not to relax and breathe a sigh of satisfaction.
Pearly Grey Ocean Club an RCI Gold Crown resort in Tenerife is giving you the chance to WIN a seven-night holiday for four people at the resort, PLUS £1,000 spending money.
Pearly Grey Ocean Club is situated in the village of Callao Salvaje, just a ten-minute drive from the lively resort of Playa de las Américas. The village is a quiet retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the busier towns, but still close enough to enjoy all that they have to offer.
Your home from home
The resort offers a great home-from-home holiday experience. The recently refurbished 112 self-catering accommodations include studios, one- and two-bedroom apartments for families of all sizes to be comfortable.
The studio apartments come with either a double bed or two single beds, a spacious bathroom, a fully-equipped kitchen where you can prepare meals and eat together as a family, possibly even on your balcony.
The one- and two-bedroom apartments are located in the main building and are also fully self-catered and have a balcony, with most boasting a sea view – perfect for enjoying a glass of wine at the end of the day.
For those who really want to make their stay at Pearly Grey Ocean Club one to remember, the Cliff Top Suites, which are situated overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the neighbouring island of La Gomera, are a real treat.
There is plenty on the resort to keep guests busy, with an around-the-clock entertainment programme. There is a swimming pool and a separate children’s pool, as well as two spacious sundecks – one situated by the pools, the other overlooking the sea, so you can choose your view for the day.
For the more active guests, Origins Gym Fitness & Personal Training is ideal for working up a sweat. There are also plenty of games to enjoy, including bowls, table tennis, air hockey and pool, if sunbathing is simply too relaxing for you.
If you want to treat yourself to a well-deserved pamper session, Pearly Grey’s Jazzy Hair and Beauty Salon is perfect for indulging in some ‘me time’, with massages, manicures and pedicures, being just some of the treatments on offer.
Talking of spoiling yourself, the Luxury Bali Beds, at the resort’s Edge Terrace Bar, are the perfect spot for relaxing. You’ll feel like a celebrity as you chill out on your own comfortable bed, overlooking the sparkling Atlantic Ocean.
The Edge Terrace Bar is also the place to be when the sun goes down and the jugs of cocktails and dishes of tapas start flowing.
For guests who want a break from cooking, the resort’s Quo Bar & Restaurant serves a range of local and international dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There’s an à la carte menu, take away options and live sports for those who don’t want to miss a match.
Guests of Pearly Grey Ocean Club return year after year, thanks to the home-from-home atmosphere, friendly staff and the high-quality accommodation. RCI members, Martyn and Gail Wrigg so loved their first stay at Pearly Grey so much, that now they are regular visitors.
“It’s a really, really nice place,” Gail said.
“We’ve been coming to Tenerife for quite a few years now, but we came to Pearly Grey last year for the first time, and we were made so welcome and were so impressed with the service, as well as the amount of care that went into the apartments, that we actually bought in. We’ll be coming here for the next 10 years now, so we’re very happy.”
Martyn explained how Pearly Grey Ocean Club impressed them from the minute they checked in, resulting in their purchase. “Pearly Grey seems to be different from every other resort or hotel. The friendliness is absolutely incredible, everyone is treated like family, by the receptionist, the bar staff and the waiters,” he said.
“All the other guests seem to take that on board and everyone talks to one another and makes friends and we all stay in touch. The staff remember you and when you come back; you get a hug from the waitresses and a handshake from the waiters. It’s nice and makes you feel at home.”
For family fun seekers
If you can tear yourself away from this beautiful resort, Tenerife, the largest of the Canary Islands packs a real holiday punch, with fabulous weather, glorious beaches and exciting excursions and experiences to enjoy.
There’s plenty to do in Tenerife if you want to do more than just turn over on your sun-bed every half an hour, so you’ll never be bored.
For families, Siam Park and Loro Parque are always great days out that will keep both the little ones and the adults entertained.
Thai-themed water park, Siam Park, is one of Europe’s largest and it’s packed full of huge slides, wave pools and rapids for the thrill seekers, and lazy rivers and beaches for those who want to keep things a bit calmer – there is something for everyone here. You’ll have so much fun flying down slides, such as the Kinnaree, Tower of Power and Singha, you may well be planning a return trip before you’ve even left.
Located in the resort town of Adeje, Siam Park is close to plenty of bars, restaurants and shops if you want to explore the area, once you’ve had your thrilling day in the water.
You’ll find a very traditional Spanish community in Adeje when you stroll away from the beach and a little further inland. Stop for a bite to eat at one of the little eateries and chat with the friendly locals, it’ll seem a world away from all the English bars and restaurants along the beachfront.
Loro Parque, situated in Puerto de la Cruz in the north of the island, started off as a parrot park in 1972 and has evolved into a fantastic zoo filled with thousands of animals and birds, including dolphins, penguins, tigers, chimpanzees and jaguars.
There are a number of bird shows on throughout the day that are great to watch, as well as demonstrations with various sea animals which are always popular with the little ones.
