The Spanish city of Valencia is bidding to bring the thrill of Formula 1 to Europe by becoming home to the next Ferrari World theme park. The city which already hosts the European Grand Prix is appealing to ‘petrol-heads’ further with this bid to bring over 20 Ferrari-inspired rides and attractions to the city.
If it’s successful Valencia will become the second city to host a Ferrari World after the first opened in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi earlier this year.
Officials from Valencia are believed to have recently visited Abu Dhabi to view the theme park, which boasts the fastest roller coaster in the world. Travelling at 149mph, the ride recreates the G-force felt in an F1 car and is so fast riders have to wear goggles, similar to those a racing driver wears during a race.
